Since joining Lakeland, Connor has brought a strong operational perspective to the team in Kansas City. With several years of experience managing fast-paced warehouse environments. His practical mindset and familiarity with the challenges faced on the warehouse floor give him a valuable perspective when helping customers find the right solutions.
How Did He Get Started in the Industry?
Connor grew up in Shawnee, Kansas, and graduated high school a semester early before beginning studies in automotive maintenance at Johnson County Community College. As a member of the Class of 2020, the pandemic shifted many of his plans, leading him to pivot into the workforce sooner than expected.
In August of that year, Connor joined United Parcel Service, where he quickly moved into a management role. Over the course of five years, he gained extensive experience in logistics and warehouse operations, working within highly automated environments and learning how complex systems work together to keep facilities moving efficiently.
That experience gave him a front-row seat to the real-world impact of automation systems—both when they’re working perfectly and when a small issue creates larger operational challenges.
His Role at Lakeland
Connor joined Lakeland at a natural intersection of experience and opportunity. With the retirement of Mike Walsh and Connor’s background in logistics and automated warehouse environments, the transition into the role made perfect sense.
He’s especially excited to deepen his understanding of the automation and control products Lakeland provides and how each component plays a role in a larger warehouse system. Having seen how one small issue can ripple across an entire operation, Connor approaches problem-solving with an operations-first mindset.
His goal is to continue building his knowledge of Lakeland’s product lines while helping customers identify solutions that keep their systems reliable and efficient.
Fun Facts About Connor
Connor has a strong interest in history, but he’s just as fascinated by the more mysterious side of it—things like Bigfoot sightings and alien lore. Sometimes the strange corners of history are the most entertaining ones.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors or finding a great meal to try. He also spends plenty of time working on his Japanese import Toyota truck, a project that keeps his mechanical curiosity busy.
When the weekend arrives, Connor prefers to keep things simple—ordering food, relaxing, and catching up on his current obsession: tornado documentaries.
And while he might hesitate to admit it, his go-to coffee order is a Starbucks caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino with four shots of espresso.
